XAFS
The LNLS currently has three absorption spectroscopy and one fluorescence beamline in operation. Two of the absorption beamlines, XAFS1 and XAFS2, perform conventional energy scanning and allow for the performance of most conventional transmission, fluorescence and electrons detection experiments. The third one, DXAS, is an energy dispersive beamline dedicated to time-resolved and extreme condition experiments. The XRF Fluorescence beamline serves a broad multidisciplinary user community and was designed for microanalytical determination of trace elements concentrations in different kind of sample matrices using mainly two variants of the XRF techniques which are the micro-XRF and TXRF methods. Energy Dispersive X-ray Reflectivity and Total Electron Yield (TEY) setups are also available.
