The HKL2000 suite of programs is designed to analyze monochromatic X-ray diffraction
oscillation data. The programs have been written by Dr. Zbyszek Otwinowski
(Southwestern Medical Center, University of Texas) and Dr. Wladek Minor (University
of Virginia). The HKL suite consists of the following programs:
The HKL package development is supported by the NIH grant GM-53163 to the
laboratories of Zbyszek Otwinowski (Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas) and Wladek
Minor (University of Virginia).
The HKL program package available at the protein crystallography beamline at LNLS is provided on the basis of scientific collaboration free of any charges by the program authors. The synchrotron versions are time stamped and are usually upgraded every 3 months. Version 0.97.647 is installed at the LNLS for processing of the data collected on a MARCCD 165mm and MAR IP 345mm detector systems.
Experimenters from academic and non-commercial institutions, may use the program for data evaluation and processing, while collecting data at LNLS Protein Crystallography beamline. Users, who do not have a permanent HKL license, can obtain a temporary free of charge, license, from HKL Research, Inc., to re-/process the data at home.
Experimenters from commercial and for-profit institutions, who want to use the
program for data evaluation and processing, while collecting data at the beamline, or for
processing synchrotron data at home, must have an appropriate commercial HKL license, that includes
the 'synchrotron license'. The license can be obtained from HKL Research, Inc.
The file def.site specifc for this bealine can be dowload here.
The HKL Manual, Edition 5 (September, 1998), is available at the beamline.
